Urge Congress to Support Physician Liability Protection!

As states begin to reopen, risks to our fellow medical professionals and facilities remain. People across the country are adjusting to a new normal, but physicians and the facilities where they work face a new normal of their own – a flood of medical liability lawsuits.

A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives by Representatives Phil Roe, MD (R-TN) and Lou Correa (D-CA) to protect pandemic responders from the serious threat of substantial medical liability lawsuits and preserve patient access to care. H.R. 7059, the Coronavirus Provider Protection Act, would grant targeted, limited liability protections to pandemic responders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response.

While this is an important step forward, there’s much more work that still needs to be done. Please contact Congress and ask your representatives to cosponsor H.R. 7059, the Coronavirus Provider Protection Act.

Let your Representative know how important the provisions of the Coronavirus Provider Protection Act are to you, your colleagues, and the medical facilities in which you serve.
